Club Spotlight – Dice and Decks

Dice and Decks is NJIT’s premier card and board game club. At its meetings, members can find almost anything they’d like to play, from board games to role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. The club aims to bring together students with similar interests to connect in an environment that can be fun, relaxed, or competitive.

The meetings take place on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the basement of the Campus Center, room B35. From October there will also be meetings on another weekday that are still being discussed in the E-Board. The first ten minutes of the meeting will be used to vote on new games for the club and the remaining time will be available for members to play any games that Dice and Decks have provided. The game lengths and types are flexible and entirely up to the members.

There are various events for the association to take part! In addition to the general club meetings, there will be a pajama party game night with films and games in pajamas on Sunday, October 17th, from 5 to 9 p.m. There is also a board game tournament that will be held in the future! The club is a great place to make friends and enjoy the experience of being back on campus with playmates.

Something special about Dice and Decks is the feeling of friendship and camaraderie it arouses. From the first meeting, students were able to connect with people they had never seen on campus before and make meaningful friendships. Especially after the isolation of the last few months, Dice and Decks offers a great opportunity to get to know other students and the campus in an entertaining and relaxed atmosphere.

If you’re looking for fun games with worthy opponents in a fun-loving crowd, check out Dice and Decks! It’s a club full of friendly members, which is a great place to relax after class or just to bond with your fellow students.
