Dale Arthur Pasley, 79, from Columbus, Indiana, died at home on October 15, 2021.
Dale was born in Bartholomew County on February 9, 1942, to Homer Pasley and Virgie Brown Pasley. On June 10, 1961, he married the love of his life, Elsie Knotts.
After high school, he made a career at Reliance Electric in Columbus. There he retired after 33 years. Dale was a kind soul who never met a stranger. He loved helping others and would often visit closings to show that he cared for him.
Dale enjoyed cycling and fishing. He loved board games and corn holes and any activity that was fun with other people. The joy of his life was teaching and playing games with his grandchildren. He was also very involved in his church and raised funds for the March of Dimes.
Dale leaves behind his wife and children, Gary Wayne of Columbus and Mark Alan (Laura) Pasley of Taylorsville, Indiana; Ginger Marie Pasley from Raleigh, NC and Laura Mae Pasley Fechtman from Columbus. He also has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by a brother, Donald Pasley, and a sister, Bernice Roberts.
Dale’s memorial service will take place on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. The visit will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the services, with Rev. Stan Loutner officiating. For those who cannot attend, the service will be broadcast live. The funeral will take place immediately after the service in the Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
