Apple Arcade has tons of games to play if you miss a bygone era, and has everything from remastered classics to fresh versions of old favorites. The service also features newer titles with the ’80s and’ 90s aesthetics, or games that take off their hats to iconic game franchises like Final Fantasy and Zelda.

The inclusion of these games in the service, as well as fun adaptations of board games like chess and checkers, allows older players to step back in time and share classics with younger players, all on a single platform.

You can explore these games in the Apple Arcade catalog that contains now over 220 games, with more weekly. If you want to try the service, you can subscribe to it through the App Store.

Here are some of our favorite nostalgic Apple arcade games.

Tetris beat retains the traditional gameplay of rotating and falling tetriminos (blocks) with the aim of creating a combo chain to score points. The twist with Tetris Beat? You have to stay in time with the beat of the song. The exclusive Apple Arcade game features songs by musicians such as Alison Wonderland, Octa Octa and Garza.

Pac-Man Party Royale is a fun update to the original arcade game that lets you play battle mode with up to four friends. Devour Pac-Dots for speed and get to the Power Pellet first, but watch out for ghosts and the 265 glitch. If there is no winner, the glitch will try to destroy the maze.

Frogger in toy town

Frogger in Toy Town in the Apple Arcade.

Go on a search inside a person’s home to rescue lost “frogs” after they were blown away by a storm. You’ll navigate toy-filled terrain – avoid toy cars, climb block buildings, and collect gummy bears to save the frogs. If you save a frog, it will hop on Frogger’s back (which is every bit as cute as it sounds). Carrying the Froglets is an additional challenge during the obstacle course as they can fall off. If you liked the old school frogger this game is worth a look.

The Lego brand has stood the test of time and made the leap from plastic blocks to the canvas to Video games. Lego Brawls is a mobile fighting game that is easy to play. The game offers countless possibilities to create your Lego character in a fast-paced 4v4 multiplayer. Each phase of the game brings new challenges, goals and bizarre power-ups, such as a cake thrower, a cactus suit, a snake car or a hot dog stand. Jump into a party or a brawl, or keep exercising.

Oregon Trail

There are many iterations of the Oregon Trail to play with, but most of them all share the same premise – load up your car and travel about 2,000 miles west in search of a new life. The Apple Arcade version of the game offers 15 different journeys to play with that you can combine with your travel companions, each with specific items, skills, and personalities. The journey is long so plan ahead and think quickly to ensure the survival of your group.

Ocean horn 2 is an open world action fantasy role-playing game that tells the story of a young knight who and his friends are on a quest to save the world from an evil warlock. The knight ventures out with Trin, the granddaughter of Arcadia’s leader Archimedes, and Gen, a robot armed with a samurai weapon. The trio must unite with the Owrus, Gillfolk, and others to save the world from Warlock Mesmeroth’s Dark Army. The design of the game is a major nod to that Legend of Zelda Game series with a touch of fable and Kingdom hearts.
