The Polson Senior Center at 504 Third Ave. E. is open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays. Lunch is available weekdays from 11:45am to 12:30pm. Memberships (50+) are available for $15 per year on a voluntary basis. This year marks the 50th anniversary of our Polson Senior Center. We look forward to a great party. If you have any stories or pictures to share from years past, let us know. Our historians and directors are beginning to put together an exhibit for us to share. If you have had or have loved ones who were active at the center, please let us know.
Practice Class: 10:30am to 11:30am Monday, Wednesday and Friday. (low load; seated if desired)
Bridge: moved. Usually Tuesday and Friday. Call or stop by to be added to the player list.
Mahjong: Wednesdays 12:30 p.m.
Pinochle: 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays. We play 3-5 hands per table. coaching available.
Bingo: Fridays 7pm.
Thursday, January 20: Free audio consultation, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Pool: We need experience in repairing some well used cues. Also if you have some gently used cues or cue tip repair kits we could use them. Practice for weekly free open pool tournaments; Age 50-plus (younger if supervised by a parent!).
The game takes place on Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. or any other time or day preferred by the players. The pool is free; no entry fee. Organized weekly pool games would begin on January 6th. Practice most weekdays from 8am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 3pm.
Lunch is served Monday to Friday from 11:45am to 12:30pm in the center for takeaway or home delivery. If you are a new customer, call 406-883-4735 for payment information. Meals are $5.
Wednesday, January 19: Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich, Tots, Baked Beans, Creamy Fruit Salad and Apple Pie.
Thursday, January 20th: Meatloaf, baked potato, green beans, green salad and tapioca pudding.
Friday, January 21: Softshell taco, refried beans, salsa, sour cream, frito corn salad, and orange pie.
Monday, January 24: Pea soup, cornbread, cottage cheese with fruit and poke cake.
Tuesday, January 25: Pork Chops, Cheese Potatoes, Stir Fry Vegetables, Jell-O, and Pumpkin Bars.
Wednesday, January 26: Chicken casserole, dressing, mixed vegetables, cranberry salad and lemon pudding.
Thursday, January 27: Polish Dog, Macaroni and Cheese, Corn, Sauerkraut Salad and Brownie.
Friday, January 28: Roast beef, potatoes and gravy, green beans, peach pretzel salad and birthday cake.
Monday, January 31: Beef noodle soup, bun, green salad and pancakes.
The Dixon Senior Center continues to serve our community and hopes everyone stays happy and healthy. All are invited to enjoy dinner, breakfast and/or pinochle. We also accept takeaway orders. Meals are served at 17:00 on Mondays and Thursdays. Meals are $4 per serving and will be delivered to Dixon residents upon request.
For the safety of our seniors, we take a break from Pinochle during the winter. She will return in the spring.
