After Toy Fair New York was canceled for the second year in a row, The Toy Foundation‘S 2022 Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards were virtually unveiled tonight. Often hailed as the “Oscars of the Toy Industry,” the TOTY Awards program recognizes the best toys and games on the market and is a major fundraiser for The Toy Foundation.

This year’s TOTY ceremony and induction into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame was set to open Toy Fair week during a gala event to be held tonight at the New York Marriott Marquis. Instead, the winners in each of the 16 main categories were presented in a virtual event with a “Metaverse” afterparty, in addition to the overall “Toy of the Year” award and the “People’s Choice” winner.

Now, a drum roll please, as we congratulate this year’s winners and initiates!
