This Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha film was directed by Hansal Mehta. The film’s plot revolves around a lazy PT teacher, played by Rajkummar, who later accepted the challenge to prove his potential and skills. As you can see, the movie title was based on the name of the game itself.
Anurag Basu’s film Ludo was a dark comedy anthology crime thriller. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Pearle Maaney, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rohit Suresh Saraf, Shalini Vatsa and Inayat Varma. The film has four different stories and how they are linked is amazingly shown in the film. The film’s title is based on the game, which is one of the most popular board games today.
Hide & Seek had a huge star cast including Purab Kohli, Arjan Bajwa, Mrinalini Sharma and Ayaz Khan. The plot of the film revolves around a bunch of friends who are locked up in a mall by a person dressed as Santa Claus. The film was directed by Shawn Arranha and written by Apoorva Lakhia. The film’s title was inspired by the game Hide & Seek played by children around the world.
This romantic comedy by Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon has been loved by audiences for its amazing plot, comical timing and some great one-liners by Pankaj Tripathi. The film not only made a name for itself in the hearts of audiences, but also at the box office. In fact, the film’s title is based on the famous game Luka Chuppi (Hide & Seek).
Shatranj was released in 1993 with some amazing talents like Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Juhi Chawla, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor and many others. Even with the huge star cast, the film failed to impress box office audiences, but made our list because of the board game popularly known as chess.
