TO UPDATE: It has now been confirmed that Exoprimal will be coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and Steam alongside the already announced PS4 and PS5 versions. The following article has been updated to reflect this new information.
Capcom has lifted the veil on its latest third-person shooter, Exoprimal, in which players can take on massive hordes of interdimensional dinosaurs, as revealed during March’s PlayStation State of Play
As described by Capcom’s Associate Social Media Manager Kellen Haney on the PlayStation BlogSet in the year 2043, Exoprimal sees players take control of an Exofighter – an Exosuit-wearing warrior who must fight against swarms of dinosaurs large and small that have invaded our world through mysterious vortices and are driving humanity toward extinction.
Designed to be experienced primarily in multiplayer co-op, players must “coordinate and select a strategic combination of suits” to achieve victory against their new Velociraptor and T-Rex opponents.
Each exosuit is intended to have its own unique set of abilities and weapons, along with a clearly defined role on each team. Players can also change their chosen exosuit at any time during a mission, giving teams the ability to adjust their strategy on the fly.
The Roadblock is one such exosuit, featuring a large tank-like frame with a powerful shield said to “stop hundreds of raptors” to protect your team.
Exoprimal will be released in 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Steam. You can check out Exoprimal’s dino-tastic reveal trailer in the State of Play video below.
