New Delhi: Rajasthan Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot launched a scathing attack on the BJP, saying conspiracies were being hatched to overthrow the governments.
Gehlot’s statement relates to recent political developments in Maharashtra, where a section of the rebellious Shiv Sainiks, led by Eknath Shinde, pose a threat to the state government.

“The Constitution is being flouted and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax are being abused. When there is no justice, we go to justice. Now the judiciary itself is under pressure. It’s going to be a very dangerous game,” he said.

The CM said that anything is possible in the country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

crime, injustice, atrocities, oppression; Anything is possible, said Gehlot.

He made the statement while addressing the media in Delhi, where Congress is staging a Satyagraha against ED Party leader Rahul Gandhi.

“The BJP doesn’t believe in democracy and these are fascist people. They only do politics by wearing the mask of democracy to come to power,” he claimed.

He also claimed that Rs 10 crore was distributed to MLAs in Rajasthan as an advance.

The indirect lead apparently referred to former Deputy Prime Minister Sachin Pilot, who last year hid at a resort in Gurugram with some of the party’s MLAs in an attempt to win them over to his side, but failed to overthrow the government.

Gehlot weathered the storm for almost a month but was able to save his government.

When asked if such trials are being made in Rajasthan as well, Gehlot said each state has different circumstances and they are doing new experiments and are successful in some places.

“In Madhya Pradesh they were successful and we took some timely steps and behaved in such a way that we successfully thwarted their attempts,” he said.

The veteran congressman said the BJP had been waiting for an opportunity to overthrow the Maharashtra government since their last unsuccessful attempt.
